The show focusses on how and why key people contributed so much to the development of outback Australia in relation to health, communication, transport, education as well as their most famous contribution to medical services through the Royal Flying Doctor Service. It also highlights the personal qualities of those who people that make them inspirational role models for students of today: perseverance, vision, compassion, risk taking, and plain hard work.

The presentation on these remarkable Australians uses a mixture of story-telling, role play and student interaction, aimed at upper primary and lower secondary students. It includes a number of interesting and sometimes amusing anecdotes to complement the overall story the events that contributed to the RFDS story.
