Mengele Mengele

***** "A true masterclass in acting and writing... one of the most powerful and astonishing pieces of theatre I have ever seen"
Business Daily

***** "Profoundly moving"
EdFringe

Recently performed at the Edinburgh Festival to 5* reviews and sell out audiences. Selected as 'Fringe Encore Winner' to be performed in NY Sept '17. Coming to the Bakehouse Theatre for the Adelaide Fringe Feb/March.

Created with the support of the Holocaust Educational Trust, 'Mengele' makes challenging contemporary reference in presenting and educating its audience about an historical figure.

Dr Josef Mengele escaped punishment after WW2 and fled to South America where he lived a full life, ultimately having a heart attack and drowning off a beach in Brazil in 1979. In this play we imagine him be drawn ashore and counselled by his 'rescuer' and finally exposed as a narcissistic sociopath.
