DUO COMMEDIA is a spectacular showcase of eight Commedia dell'arte characters:
Dottor Balanzone, Flavio (the Innamorato), Colombina, Brighella, Pulcinella, il Capitano, Arlecchino & Pantalone, presented by two actors/trainers.

It is a great introduction to the Commedia dell'arte. Colombina transports the audience into a journey back in time when Commedia was created. She reveals that she was actually the first woman who dared to step on stage in a time when only males were allowed to perform.

If your students have never seen a Commedia dell’Arte performance before, this is the best way to get to know the main characters, the masks and the over the top acting style that Commedia dell’Arte requires. Not to forget that the content, although painstakingly and precisely planned, is no less than eighty percent improvised, relying only on the actors’ extended knowledge of the physicality and temperament of every character portrayed on stage.

DUO COMMEDIA is suitable for Primary and High school students. Some Italian language is used for Italian students.
