#7 Stages of Grieving & The Longest Memory - Live & Online
Complete Works Theatre Company

The 7 Stages of Grieving & The Longest Memory is a comparative study integrating scenes from both texts into performance, enabling students to make clear thematic comparisons and contrasts between the two texts. The 7 Stages of Grieving by Wesley Enoch and Deborah Mailman, is a one woman play that follows the journey of an Indigenous woman through a series of stories of grief and reconciliation. The Longest Memory by Fred D'Aguiar is a novella that examines the cruel treatment of slaves in Virginia, USA, between 1790 and 1810. It chronicles the final years in the life of Whitechapel, the oldest slave on the Whitechapel plantation. Complete Works is proud to enable a platform for Indigenous stories to be told and performed by First Nations actors.
In a return to 'Covid-Normal', we are offering this show both live and online.
