A show dedicated to helping children understand how bullying happens and what to do about it, "Bully Free Zone" focuses on friendship, cooperation, tolerance and self-esteem, in a fun, interactive show.
Bull is a bully. He teases all the other farmyard animals, until one day his friends stand up to him and help him realise he needs to change his ways. A show about friendship, developing empathy skills, and addressing a range of anti-bully strategies.
An immersive, interactive way to look at the important topic of bullying "Bully Free Zone" is a unique way of looking at the reasons bullying happens, and what can be done to both combat it and help others to avoid becoming bullies. Using role-play, fun characters and interactive stories with music, "Bully Free Zone" encourages students to learn the importance of tolerance and community values, and to be aware of their own obligations to others.
"Bully Free Zone!" is also ideal for Prep-Year Three students as an aid to their reading experience, and the ways in which they relate to literature and the world around them. The performance encourages participation in drama and promotes reading. With the help of simple props and costumes, your students become the stars of the shows! All our shows contain positive messages about friendship, sharing, self-belief and tolerance. Various acting techniques are employed - music, poetry, mime, song and narration - to encourage the students.
