THE BIG BAG SHOW is surprise surprise a show about a big bag… However its what is in the bag which holds the young audience in suspense and eager to find out the mystery of its contents as Dennis reaches in and takes hold of an object which remains in the bag but shows the shape of it to the children, young minds respond with the obvious answer but things are not what they appear to be as Dennis asks about the shape and what other things could form the same shape ??? after exploring the responses Dennis slowly reveals the object he has been holding… However he reveals it in mime and the physical object remains in the bag.

Dennis then gives hints as to what the object is and he helps out by diving back into the bag pulling out a letter which the objects starts with, the children then put the clues together and discover its an apple and so the show begins…

A show of discovery, of imagination, of story which helps to develop the conceptual thinking of children aged 3 to 5 as they start to conceptualise story where they find actions have meaning and so using his skill as one of Australias leading mime artists Dennis places the objects into stories… an imaginary apple becomes the story of William Tell, an imaginary rope becomes a game of tug of war… but its not all imagined things which are in the bag as a pair of long arms appear which leads into a song… a physical flower becomes something to balance on the nose and even a chair gets the same treatment much to the amazement of children and then the finale of the show will have young minds going wild with delight as Dennis with two children jump into giant slinkies and if thats not enough he then lays the giant slinks along the ground forming a giant tunnel for everyone to crawl through giving the children a memorable imaginative experience.
