The Mad Hatter was amazing. I would rate it an 11 out of 10. The children were totally mesmerised by the magic and were more than willing to "help" the Mad Hatter.

A BIG thank you from the Grade 1/2 teachers and students. The kids were so excited and engaged and absolutely loved your show (the teachers had a ball too).
St. Peter Apostle Primary School

For the last five years The Mad Hatter Magic Show has sold out at The Melbourne Magic Festival and, through public demand, we have now taken this show into schools.

It's a highly interactive, hilariously theatrical magical slice of Wonderland - as entertaining for the teachers as it is for the kids.

As an introduction to theatre, the show is a wonderful example of the power of character, as The Hatter completely engages the audience for a full hour of magic and improvisation.

It's also perfect introduction to the world of literature, as the kids want to know more about The Hatter after the show and are very eager to read "his story" in Alice in Wonderland, plus it's a great way to introduce kids to theatre without them even realising it!

An interactive magic workshop is also available as an optional extra.

ASPERGER'S SYNDROME: If you have any students with ASD we also offer an after show Q&A Discussion Session at no extra charge as Tim Ellis has Asperger's Syndrome and the fact that he has been able to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming an internationally acclaimed magician is very inspiring to others on the spectrum.

Some recommendations for this program:
• Themes - a theme can often help focus the event and can be developed through discussions, creative writing and particularly art work based on Wonderland to decorate the performance space.
• Riddles - The Hatter LOVES riddles, and often will invite kids up on stage to tell their favourite to everyone. We encourage children to prepare for this by discussing riddles in class, learning new riddles, and discovering why some riddles are funnier than others. The Hatter will even leave the school a copy of his own MAD HATTER BOOK OF RIDDLES for the school library to keep.
• Craft - in preparation for the show, students can make their own "mad hats" to wear to the performance. The crazier and more creative the better!
• Post show – The Mad Hatter loves to receive feedback after his show and we encourage the kids to write about or draw their favourite moment from the show. This can be posted or emailed to The Hatter and a reply is guaranteed!

Performer Tim Ellis is an internationally award winning magician who has previously toured shows for schools including:
