In addition to our main stage productions of Shakespeare's plays and other classics performed in gardens and theatres around Australia and beyond, The ASC continues to offer interactive programs for schools in Victoria and NSW. With plays like Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, Richard III, The Merchant of Venice, and our charming all ages Play on Shakespeare which presents several scenes from a variety of plays, our education program brings a small troupe of professional actors into the educational space to entertain and captivate. From there we aim to ignite, fuel, and enliven students' imaginations about Shakespeare's language and stories, and assist their understanding about getting the words off the page and be enthralled by each play's timeless messages and capacity for adaptation.
With live performances and/or rehearsed readings/and interactive performances involving students getting up and performing roles with us, we create a certain kind of magic that has proven to be deeply rewarding for all involved.
