A Black Swan commission and World Premiere
A POWERFUL REIMAGINING OF TIM WINTON'S STORY
Fifteen-year-old Jaxie Clackton is angry and running from his past. Crossing Western Australia’s saltlands, he doesn’t know what he’s seeking—freedom, or himself.
He meets Fintan MacGillis, a disgraced Irish priest living in exile. The two outsiders form a fragile bond, but as dangerous secrets emerge, both must face their pasts and make life-changing choices.
Commissioned by Black Swan and premiering in Perth, this adaptation of Tim Winton’s novel is written by acclaimed playwright Tim McGarry.
