Macbeth Macbeth

The performances were masterful - a thoroughly engaging production, particularly the physical elements and the song. The questions the performers asked our students were challenging and interesting. Well done.
Teacher, St Joseph's College, Echuca

It was an amazing performance, I really enjoyed it. The tone used was great, it really changed what the words meant to me.
Student, Kyneton Secondary College

On a wild and windswept heath a whispered prophecy incites an unstoppable chain of events. The prophecy rouses the dormant ambition of a soldier, Macbeth. His wife, Lady Macbeth, lusts after the title of queen. Together the Macbeth’s plot a ghastly murder, and in doing so throw open the gates to hell.

Morality is put under the microscope in William Shakespeare's brilliant examination of human temptation, ambition and guilt. Macbeth is an exciting story that provokes debate and stimulates discussion.

All performances are followed by a Q&A with the actors. Our actors have detailed knowledge of the themes and characters of the play and it's historical context. The actors can lead critical discussion on the thematic relevance of the play to contemporary society.

Students can see the motivations of the characters. Hearing the language spoken so fluently really helps to demystify Shakespeare too.
