Milli

Thanks also for a great event, you did a great job and we’ve had really good feedback from attendees. Particularly from a grandmother who brought her grandson along, who has autism and finds noisy groups very difficult, but he stayed for the whole show

- Age appropriate - Catered for all students. - I liked that it wasn’t sitting and listening for 45mins, rather lots of standing up, singing and involvement, which led to student engagement. - Got the students to implement what they have learned -

Milli and Jennys recycling and sustainability show takes children aged 4 to 8 on a journey to understand what common household waste can be recycled, repurposed or replaced with more sustainable options.

Milli the Hen and Jenny teach children how to identify recyclable waste by identifying the structure, feel and look of the waste, and to highlight what waste be used for composting and how we can avoid single use plastics and highlight the impacts of littering on the environment. Two interactive activities will model behavioural change such as creating a plastic free picnic basket and lunch box.

A colouring in activity sheet will be provided at the end of the show that will test the children’s knowledge of which rubbish goes into which bin (3-bin or 2-bin system). We use a home setting for the show to encourage children to become agents of change in a familiar environment, with the behaviours being transferrable to other settings also. Suitable for children aged 4 to 8.
